The flights may have been half empty coz of false bookings. I heard all other flights outta that airport on that day were fully booked except these...and there was some talk about the criminals having overbooked under false names...to ensure success of the operation... The long distance flights may have selected because of the fuel capacities of the aircraft...for maximum explosion...
