isopatch, It's a durn site frustratin' when you have to go to German Websites in order to get the latest news. Not that the Germans can be presumed to be totally correct; however 10 more persons tonight (US time) were arrested at JFK and La Guardia Airports tonight posing as pilots and flight crews (with false credentials for flights on Tuesday morning-oops where's that whiteout!!), and some carrying knives.

It looks like President Bush's quick action Tuesday in shutting down all commercial aviation traffic nationwide may have helped avert an even wider multi suicide mission tragedy- Good move by the Prez.

Also Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld asked President Bush for the power to call up reserves....

"Falsche Piloten" festgenommen

Gut 50 Stunden nach den Terrorattacken in den USA sind an New Yorker Flughäfen 10 Männer in Gewahrsam genommen worden. Sie hätten sich als Piloten und Flugbegleiter ausgegeben. Einige der Männer hätten kleine Messer und Flugscheine für Flüge am Dienstagmorgen gehabt, berichteten US-Medien. Das nähre den Verdacht, dass die Männer am Dienstag ebenfalls auf Selbstmord-Mission waren. Die New Yorker Flughäfen wurden am Abend wieder geschlossen.

US-Verteidigungsminister Donald Rumsfeld erwägt unterdessen, Präsident George W. Bush um die Erlaubnis zur Einberufung von Reservisten und Nationalgardisten zum aktiven Dienst zu bitten. Dies verlautete aus dem Verteidigungsministerium. Zuletzt wurden im Januar 1991 insgesamt 265.322 Reservisten wegen des Golfkriegs zum Dienst gerufen.
