The Week the Earth Stood Still! What are the economic consequences of the loss of a week? I only know that my productivity this week has been zilch, zero, nada -- I've just been glued to the the incredibly sad stories on the TeeVee. Can jet fuel not used today be used tomorrow? Can equity trades not made today, be made next week? The losses to our economic system will be staggering. Politically, well, I'm cynical. I have visions of that marine dude on guard at Beruit with no bullets in his gun that watched all his fellow dudes blown to oblivion. I have visions of those brave dudes in Somalia. The system sucks!!! I'm not as cynical on our current citizen leader. Hopefully, his dad taught him how to do it right. We are getting really wet in the Swamp. TB
