Plenty of us with no conceivable financial stake agree that SDI is worth pursuing. The point is that if the terrorists can pull this off, it lends credibility to the idea that they could get their hands on missiles. The fact that there are other methods of delivery does not mean that one should not close off one of the most obvious. The Maginot Line, in fact, worked: that is why the Germans went through Belgium.
