Did you see the coverage of Clinton in NY yesterday? The anchor slipped up a few times and called him the president. Then Brokaw, later on, slipped up and spoke of President Clinton, and then fumbled around sort of apologizing for a minute or two.

I thought it was no coincidence. Clinton comforting people in NY looked more presidential than Bush has so far. I do agree w/ that writer that he has been disappointing. He seems overwhelmed, and mechanical in his response. Hopefully over the ensuing days that will start to change. He's in NY today, or will be later, but its raining heavily. I think he should have been here the very next day, but whatever.
