Michael, the responses here and other websites like those from x-Dil are enlightening; there remains a good percentage of our populous totally naive about what we now face. The past few generations have faced no real adversity of any kind, rather the opposite, with a 12-15 year bull market run with concurrent economic prosperity. America has lived in a bubble which has burst; I will continue to expect naitivity, denial, etc. as the new realities unfold and sink in. The British had to learn the hard way about fighting a war, marching in formation in bright red uniforms because " it is the civilized way". There is an old Indian saying, "Choose your enemies carefully, because it is they you will become most like". It is unfortunate that we must react to these scum and do what is necesary to kill them- not "neutralize' or "defeat" them, but eradicate them from the face of the earth. Unfortunate, but absolutely necessary. If we are too squeamish as a society, they will win. This is not to say " lets nuke the hell out of them", or other jingoistic nonsense. America will always keep a level head, and minimize loss of innocent life. But we had best be prepared for real sacrifices- this is not going to be pretty.
