Friends,
Yesterday I found myself considering the sale of my mutual funds and stocks
due to my perceived fear of what the markets might due as a result of the
terrorist assault on our economic system, our transportation system, and
our military. The markets will be opening in the next two days and I had
legitimate concerns. The more I thought about it, the more I realized there
must be another way.
Aside from the tears and pain I've had for the suffering and death, I've
had a profound anger and desire to find a way to retaliate against these
cowards who "hide in the shadows." I sincerely believe these animals were
not motivated by "religious" reasons. They were simply motivated by
jealousy against our free enterprise system, a need for public recognition,
and GREED. I believe, in their obvious sophistication, they have already
placed millions of dollars into our stock markets, gambling that the market
will go down as soon as it opens. When the markets open and the stocks
drop, they will sell their options and make millions in profit to fund
their future terrorist activities. We can't allow this to happen.
I ask everyone I know to communicate this email to your friends who may be
considering the sale of stocks or mutual funds over the next few days. I
ask you to communicate to friends around the globe that they must "Buy
American." Not only should they invest in our stocks, but also our
industries that were affected by this tragedy. If we all pull together and
the markets go up and not down, the terrorists will lose millions and the
message will be sent that they cannot use terrorism to impact our free
enterprise system and our freedom. They will lose. Thank you for your help.
