Didn't we get parts of New York and Maine from you guys?

That's because of those darnn Brit surveyors. Look what they did at Lake of the Woods. Too much rum or gin methinks :o). re: Maine especially and north eastern New York State there are so many French (alglisized) names. It's part of that North South attraction so prevalent between your Northern states and us. Also the British weren't too far sighted when it came to settling the borders as they were more concerned with the fur trade wealth which proved of course to be transitory. You're founding fathers were much more farsighted, re: Canadian border, Louisiana Purchase, Alaska purchase.....

re: whipping you guys. You of course know I'm funnin' with you girl. When I saw the tragedy unfolding I was out of town and called my wife immediately. We can stare at each other across the border and notice the differences but from across the sea I'm sure the border is pretty blurry.
