This is why we might seriously consider taking care of the nation and the security of the citizens first, by sealing off the border and restoring a sense of safety first.

Can't and shouldn't be done, IMO. We can't retreat from the world. But we can isolate terrorism. We won't get them all, but we can render them impotent. Any terrorist training camp that reappears, blast it off the face of the earth. Cut off their sources of funding by any means necessary. Without facilities and funding, all they can do is rant and rave.
