I also think your response was excellent, however, remember self interest is getting in the way here. Not a lot of people were short this market, everyone was calling a short term bottom, and a LOT of big names (I know one privately) have large leveraged long positions. They want to get out even and I THINK the SEC will allow that to happen.

I suggest the small internet investor that got burned last year when their shares where suddenly NO LONGER propped up by brokers consider that well when deciding what to do Monday.
