I just noticed the message has been changed from yesterday and now reads Important Note: Should market conditions warrant, we may be required to reduce or eliminate loan values on individual securities or industry sectors, this may result in margin calls being issued on some accounts. Please be aware of this possibility and exercise caution in trading in these uncertain markets. As an interim measure and until further notice uncovered option trades are prohibited. Short selling has been disabled electronically but you may be able to place a short sell by calling our trading line to status the availability of the stock. As of 09/14/01 at 09:30 EST: Canadian Markets - open, some US based securities remain halted US Markets - will remain closed until 9:30 a.m. EST, Sept. 17, 2001 Mutual Funds - will be processed depending on valuations by each fund company.
