Did you ever do a cost benefit analysis of what HE has to lose vs what America will lose in the race for impulsive violence ? He is a destitute man, a beggar. He loses what - 200 million dollars and a few soldiers, who he doesn't care about anyway since he sends them on suicide missions...? Compare that with the loss Americans face...
Hey, I'm not saying America should take it lying down. Not at all. Hit back. Hit back 1,000,000x. Sometimes physical might is not right. If it was, we'd all go have hand to hand tussels with tigers and leopards in the jungle. Strategy...and planning...you are a marketing guy...you should know ! A lot can be achieved quietly and effectively. One can be quietly just as effective. One can be quietly MORE effective.
I think US is taking all the right steps. Its twisting the arms of the world for support. It knows it can't go alone. It should not go alone. And the lessons from the Gulf war are fresh....get all support from the world, and never leave a task unfinished.
This realy isn't a war against US. Its a war against humanity and civilisation. Yes US was dragged into it a bit late...and yes, US does not HAVE to stick its neck out being the moral leader of the world means that when it eventually happens here, the world will have to change...the world will have to become a better place...
