That looked like a lot of questions and no answers to me.
I don't think this is really rocket science, folks have been saying the following here, and and on the CFZ for quite some time...
Bubbles like this ALWAYS end badly.
This latest unprecedented global excess is NO different. In fact, I think this tragedy seems all the more horrible because of the extra long term conditioning of the recent bubble, and the dream of milk and honey forever. There is no such thing as a free lunch, regardless of how long you get to sit at the table.
Sooner or later it had to happen, and if it wasn't this tragedy, then it would have been something else that threw the world into a cleansing washout. That's reality.
Unfortunately greed and complacency are part and parcel of the human condition, so sadly it seems the greatest reforms and change are almost always borne from struggle, sacrifice and suffering, not the other way around. Maybe that will change, and I hope my baby boy gets to see it, but I doubt I will.
Chances are good the world will be a better place when this is all over though...but I think the road will be a lot longer than most expect, and things will get a lot worse before they get better.
