Specifics please.
There is a growing global consensus to stop terrorism in all forms in all places. That is a difficult task at best. To cloud the issue with what-if's and maybe's like Star Wars threatens to destroy the very consensus that is required for this mission. If the end result of this action is to have Bin Laden killed and Afganistan controlled by the Northern alliance instead of the Taliban, then we will have failed! This needs to be a war against the concept of terrorism whether in the Middle East, Columbia, Northern Ireland, or even Oklahoma City.

A battle won against Bin Laden is the best we could hope for if Rumsfeld convinces Bush to overplay his hand and make moves, like SDI, that the rest of the world finds overly agressive. We will have lost this first war of the century by trying to fight last century's war.
