Ike,
Its great to have you back. I always felt your "big picture" insight to the U.S. stock market helped me in analyzing the day to day fluctuations in the market. We so often can't see the forest from the trees. A classic American problem.

I know for myself, hearing your perception of this recent catastrophe and the implications it could and will have, will help many of us understand the differing perspectives of others in the world.

You have always promoted the internet as a significant way to create a global community that breaks the physical barriers that governments and extremists can create. Having you back on the Idea Thread in the spirit that it was created has invigorated me. We all need some small things to grab on to go about the daily routine we once enjoyed.

SI has been dying as you probably have noticed with the grinding decline in the market. I applaud O.J. for realizing that you should be back and contributing your insights again, especially after these recent events.
