I have not read the original but from your post it seems Falwell's speach was inappropriate and intolerant and IMO wrong. However there is a big jump from that to hatred and another big jump to mass murder. Maybe Falwells statements deserve to be condemned but there is still a big difference between him and Bin Ladin.
