Ted, <I happen to agree with your comments re the air transport system; however, I think I know at what may be J. Fowler's hinting.

Our leaders are putting out a lot of talk that the terrorists will not be permitted to shut down our open way of life. Those comments are made as these same leaders are restricting our freedoms.......with our tacit approval.

In that is the danger.....that these restrictions remain in place permanently; that in the future we agree to give up willingly additional freedoms all in the name of a hated enemy. We can never forget that power corrupts; we must never forget that freedom is a fragile concept.>

True, freedom is something that few in the world understand fully, and I think we are so blessed with it that we might understand it the least.

However, I was aghast to see that Mr. Fowler thought we should apparently leave other potential bombs on the way to their targets (had we not shut down the air system).

Some people just don't get it -- fear, terrorism, all that is bad, but risking more deaths just to _not_ show fear is ridiculous, especially given the circumstances.

Whatever. I'm glad that people with common sense first came up with that prior arranged plan, and other people with common sense put that plan into motion.
