And a long list of Simio-Presidentes in Latin America, who governed their respective countries either individually or via Juntas during the 50's, 60's and early 70's. This includes Pinochet in Chile.
More recently, The ... convenient way (for the Arab monarquies and corrupt family-governments), in which the allied forces stopped the march on to Baghdad to take out Sadam Hussein (already on your list).
They conquered the asylum only to stop at the gate leaving the craziest nut in command.
Why ? Apparently because those cozy monarquies preferred a demented, (but somehow controlled freak), in the Presidente's chair, rather than a coalition that would later open the government to democracy.
I am not opposed, (within reason), to the USA assisting in the defeat of Communism or any other tyrant evil in Latin America, or anywhere else. However, once those leaders were placed in power, they were left alone to their absolute discretion in converting their governments into tools for self enrichment and death squads against those who opposed them.
How do you think their respective people would feel about the US giving aid to these gorillas ?

I hope they get the bastards that executed the WTC attack and send them, as they so much desire, to their heaven according to their twisted religion. The same wishes on my part are directed to any government that would harbor these animals. |
