As I said, I do not agre with a lot of what he says, but I think I know how he is thinking about it.
If you look at the Israel in the old Testament, every time they began thinking more highly of themselves, every time they began worshipping false gods, every time they decided they did not need God, they fell into sin, and were often defeated, and had to pay consequence for their sin. The Lord says:
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Do I think that God sent those planes into the buildings...no...I think sinful men did. But our outrage that such a thing could happen to us is interesting...killing happens all over the world everyday...
I DO believe that we, as a nation, have forgone MANY blessings, by allowing sin in the camp to become so dominant. Case in point, as much as Israel suffered for offering up their children as sacrifices on the alter of the false god molech, so we offer up our children to sacrifice them to the god of selfishness and convenience on the alter of an abortion mill. |
