Hi KyrosL, all are required to carry IDs in HK, locals and residents, and it is not a big deal nor inconvenience. The matter that concerns me is that the 'next time' may simply be a container shipment amongst hundreds on a normal freighter pulling into the HK harbour, awaiting customs inspection, but next to a big building, or far away from a big building, but packing a big enough bomb.

If 'they' intend to destabilize the world economic system, a strike against any on of half a dozen financial centers will do the systemic 'tipping' event.

I have not formulated in my own mind the true and total nature of what we face and thus what constitutes a total, comprehensive, winning response.

Thinking caps on, everybody, this weekend, and let's exchange views this weekend. The correct response, as determined by us here collectively, if not followed by global politicians, should result in this thread selling, not buying; else result in this thread buying and not selling, if the response announced is to our collective liking.

I am of course being optimistic that we can reach consensus here, even if the politicians cannot.

Chugs, Jay
