Paul, I was hesitant to post this ... but it has been in the back of my mind since Tuesday ... re the COT, notwithstanding that the fundamentals are awful, is there any reason to believe that the bigger money actually knew something was going to happen in New York??. I ask this for a number of reasons ... firstly, fundamentals haven't mattered for years ... its just been spin ... yet a lot of money was leaving the market, and of late, with growing urgency. Also, there is a lot of Middle-Eastern money in the market ... and word gets around. I assume some who owned that money from that region did know ... and wanted to get out before the tragedy. Logically, in my mind, this leads to the question whether there have been other things happening based upon managers of money asking certain parties why they wanted to liquidate their assets.

Awful to contemplate - yes ... possible ... absolutely, I'm afraid. Not that I'm suggesting the details were known .. but that perhaps something terrible was scheduled to shake-up the markets.

As I say ... just a horrible thought I've had these last few days ...

Regards

Stephen
