Lineo Focuses on Core Unit, Cuts 59% of Staff
SALT LAKE CITY -- Lineo, which develops embedded operating systems, will reduce its staff by 59%, or 160 people, and spin out peripheral technology projects, according to a company statement. Lineo said 60 positions will be cut immediately and 100 employees will be let go through the spinout of noncore projects. The company could not be reached for further comment.
