PLEASE WOULD EVERYONE READ THIS POST!?
No one has ever called me up and threatened me. Ever.
I was threatened year or two ago in an online post, and thought it was vile. I did not find it "fair," you have lied. The only action I took was to ask SI to forbid that person to post to me again, and I would not post to that person. I did not ask that they be banned, because i don't do that.
When i first came on SI four or five years ago, someone was angry at friends of mine, and because i was naive enough to have posted my real name and email address, threatened to another person that he could find me, their friend, and harm me. I hardly thought that was "fair," but there was no backing down involved as I wasn't one of the participants in the argument. It was weird and scary, not "fair."
You have again presented a fantasy or lie as fact and history.

I begin to suspect both.
