Yes, I remember some criticism of Hatch. Forget who it was...

I'm sitting here wondering what would make an aircraft secue. Firstly (of course) is thorough scanning, etc.--but what if one or more people still get on the plane with weaponry of some sort?

1). The cockpit must be secured and electronically locked, and thick enpugh to defy normal attempts at unauthorized entry..

2). The pilot must have a video display of the entire plane.

3). The pilot and co should each have a weapon in a safe with a code which is secretly split between them in whichever way is most feasible--(this is a raw outline).

4). A weapon may only be fired at a range close enough (say 4 feet) to ensure entry into the perps body.

5). In addition, the pilot and co ought to have an high tech atomizer with a 4 foot range of streamlined accuracy shooting a mixtute of mace and acid.

6). If any trouble begins, either the pilot or the co should deal with it while the other remains locked in the cockpit.

7). There ought to be an acid spray release which guards the entrance to the cockpit so that staff has the opportunity to exit the cockpit and confront the situation which they have already considered on camera.

8). As soon as (or if) any one person is killed--the pilot or co must immediately kill or disable all the perps even though this may result in one or more additional innocent lives jeopardized.

9). All airline employees (especially pilots) must receive FBI clearance before licensing is granted.

10). If a terrorist act is in process and any claim of a bomb is made, they must be killed immediately. They eiother have a bomb or they don't.

Well, this was fun--what else?

Perhaps a knockout gas which is released undetectably and disables all persons.

What else? Well, they should have a body suit impervious to everything but a bomb, which they will don should entrance to the fuselage become necessary. Tell me what else, please.
