Unfortunately you take a very narrow view of Islam. Islam, like Judiasm and Christianity has a spectrum of viewpoints and I am sure that the story you weaved may be the interpretation that several parts of the Islam world believe.
Yet, in Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood, which is very strong, doesn't believe it. Radicals in Saudi Arabia don't believe this. Iran who funds Hezbollah doesn't believe this. Syria which supports multiple terrorist groups doesn't believe that. The Taliban, large segments of Pakestani society, don't believe that. The IMAM's of Palestine, and Iraq have been saying very, very different things.
The fact is that a frightening large percentage of the Muslim world is happy that the horrors of last week were done. On the street, there is joy, irrespective of what the politicians say in Cairo, Tehran, Damascus, Islamabad, or Ramallah.
An enlightened Muslim faith may be all the things you speak of, and I am sure that is so, but the Muslims I've seen in the streets deserve the fate I pray they get.
