The purpose of my post is that people should be aware of what they are getting into. Lot of folks were enthusiastic about World War 1 when it began, but very few felt that way after it was over and 10 million soldiers from all sides lay dead.

To quote the great US general William Sherman "war is hell". But after the Gulf cakewalk, I suspect many Americans have forgotten this lesson or think it no longer applies in our high-tech age.

Hopefully we will not get involved in a ground war on the Asian mainland. But anything is possible in this day and age.
