I am quite aware of what this has caused. I am am looking for non transient issues. It seems no one can provide that. I was not trying to debate the issue but rather asked anyone if they knew of any non transient issues from this occurance. It appears no one on this thread knows of any.

"Glenn, Cantor Fitzgerald is the main clearing agent/MM for US Treas bond trading, they did $60 trillion in trades last yr. They were on several floors near the very top of Twr 1, the first one hit. They lost 600 of 960 people.
IMO it is nothing short of a miracle how their surviving employees voted to work through the night Wed and on Thursday and Fri so that trading of US bonds could resume. It likely could not have occured without them."

This is purely an emotional comment and is definitly a transient issue. The loss of life is perminent but those people will be replaced looking only at the work point of view not the personal loss.

I rather not spend a lot of time discussing this question if no one has facts to back up their assumption the economy will slow considerably and for the long term. I have heard from enough talking heads on the media which are apparently want only to make emotional statements to keep people watching.
