Richnorth. With all due respect for your humble opinion and
and I am sure you are up on history. However IMHO I feel that if all of us had been taught all the history of which you speak it would not have changed or prevented what has occurred. What I mean is that we in the so called west have evolved to the point where we feel that all beliefs are ok
and to prove this we have invited all beliefs to come live with us in our countries. But not all these other beliefs
have evolved as we have, some are still back in the dark ages and don't know it. We over here have changed our ways so that we could accommodate other cultures but if we were to go to to these other countries would they make changes,
would we be accepted? Islam a good example but there are others. It appears to me that our experiment as a multicultural society is not a complete success.
I guess my point is although history is interesting knowing it would not have changed anything nor will it in the future.
PS. I am not trying make fun of any of your opinions, you just got me thinking of some things. And if or when any of those crazed killers come to my door I think I would sooner have some sort of weapon
instead of a history book.
