"extremist situation". Yes, exactly. Bombing will do nothing to reduce the risk. I think the focus will soon shift away from Afgan issues -- probably moving in on Iraq with special forces and ground troops. Most of what matters has not yet occured -- the scope and extent of the war is yet to be defined. I expect it to center on Iraq. The US will need to be focused and to curtail the risk of a broad regional war. You must understand, this war can spread like oil on water. That is exactly what we do not need. I think we are looking at a year to make substantial progress. The situation requires cool heads and some very clear thinking.
