Robert- I happen to believe that people like bin Laden will go on killing irrationally no matter what and they need to be hunted down and brought to justice. I truly mean that because I don't think these types will ever stop. They are professional mercenaries and it is their business. I just question who he is working for and why? Suppose no one in the world had a reason to use terrorism against the US any longer because we stopped stepping on their rights from this point on; because we didn't go in and blow up their buildings and kill their citizens any longer and they had no reason to be angry with us any longer; because we remained truly neutral and even handed in attempts to help negotiate peace between them and those they saw as transgressors. Would you be unhappy and still want to see the US attack with ferocity to get revenge for Sept 11, 2001 knowing it would continue the spiral of hatred and violence and American lives would be lost in large quantities at home and overseas? I have 2 sons of military service age. That is my concern! I don't need to drive an gas guzzling SUV if it means my boys are safe from harm along with my friends, city, country and place of work. This isn't a pissing contest. It is bloodshed that perhaps could be averted if we try to see the other guys' point of view. If that doesn't work we can always go to war! alan
