Cultural exchange is a small, but quite important step. On my recent trip to Israel, I met with the Mayor of Haifa, and when I told him I am from New Hampshire, he told me that he was just back from that "neighborhood (he was in Maine), because he organized (or provided the help to organize) a multicultural camps for children form Arab countries (a large group for Egypt), Israel and Palestinian territories as well as Christian children. He could not stop telling me how successful that inter-cultural camp was. Unfortunately, only very few get to benefit from the influence of such an environment and really get to know other's and perceived "enemies's" cultures to better understand each other.
