Jay,
In reading UPR's latest 10Q I reread section 15 about the dispute over the mineral rights of a lot of land in Colorodo that the land owners have claimed UPR does not have mineral rights to. The state court was supposed to do something on May 23rd. The timing there is significant. It is after IMMM started drilling and before the "Corporate Re-organization" press release.
IF the court changed UPR's status concerning the mineral rights at that time (put them in limbo pending the final outcome of the suit) then IMMM could have ended up not knowing who they were drilling for. It makes sense if the land owner knew of the drilling and thought they found something and asked the court to protect his interests.
The surface rights are not UPR's. What land did IMMM drill on and is it some of the land involved in the law suits??? If so then UPR wouldn't be able to say much without letting out what has happened and IMMM would face possibly dealing with someone they have no contract with and already found oil for them! What would you say until a contract could be signed? "Tight Holes" would be my answer.

More reading between the lines,

Bob
