You aren't "tolerating" them (refer to Webster). You are denying them the thing they want (their own death). The problem is they get to choose, not you. If they die, they will ensure that, on-average, they outscore you. I'm not willing to match them on points. You should study game theory. Your strategy ONLY works if they care if they die. They don't.
