Frankly I'm surprised but maybe I missed it because I skim a lot of stuff. But I did not see any refences discussing the "uptick rule" . I know there was a lot of illegal shorting going on intraday in the last couple of years.

And I know people can get a round the uptick rule by disguising there intentions, little buys to tick it up while they are ready with larger blocks to hammer it.

And market makers can short unlimited amounts, as I understand it. so there are some perils out there.

But I admire you for sticking to your principles, I have always been a conscientious investor, not investing in companies, that do not fit my values..

There was a discussion here a while back about subliminal messages. I never worried about it because I do not think a "principled" individual can be influenced much..
