Khalil, I would imagine that no ground troops should be permanently stationed in Pakistan- Pass throughs no problem.

There are a lot of fundamentalist supporters in western Pakistan such as around Peshawar; however anyone (such as Ramsey Youssef found out) intelligence agents can sweep such individuals out of safe houses along the border.

Today of course was Masood's funeral in northern Afghanistan. He was assassinated hmmm, one day before the attacks in the USA. What a coincidence.

That suggests that the Taliban themselves actually helped plan the attacks in the USA. What is even more critical is that the Northern Alliance thinks the events are linked- and are furious.

From my sources Massod's funeral today was a very emotional event. The Northern Alliance has offered as of today to fight alongside the US/Allied troops against the Taliban. That may turn out to be a very critical offer- 30,000 native and veteran Afghani troops familiar with the terrain to help fight the Taliban...

Also changing subjects, many thanks to our Kuwaiti friends for their blood drive today on behalf of the victims...Also to the KGB (?! Boy have times changed!) who tried to warn us long ago of the worldwide linkage to the terrorist threat, and also its link to the drug trade....
