We need a Big Benign Brother watching over us - JPR You are putting all new arrivals to this country (or do u go back to when the Red Indians roamed this land) in danger of being discriminated and targeted. With the tech we have today, it would be no different than the nazi camps. And what about the immigrants children who are born here? How many generations should carry these ID cards?
JPR's note: What I mean by foreigners is all those who visit this country for any period of time. There is already a database on them. The only thing to be added is that their movements are monitored. This is not Big Brother watching us. It is a Big Benign Brother watching over the safety of all people, both domestic and foreign. There is already a monitoring system in place. The credit cards and Ezpasses know exactly where I went and when I came home. The EZ pass entry-and-exit-point information can even tell my speed between those two points. This intrusion is already there. There should be checks and prevention of abuses. Why are we arguing about a little more refinement in tracking people. --JPR
I know u are probably thinking of 'foreigners' as non-residents. but it doesnt take much to becoem a 'resident; of this country so your idea still would not work.
JPR's note: In a matter of hours, the Govt was able to determine who was responsible for these dastardly acts. It was very obvious right from the very beginning that the hits are the works of foreigners. Two hits one after another are not the work of any US pilot. It was so obvious. The signature of suicidal attacks and jihad is apparent and special to only certain groups originating outside this country. The targets speak volumes. Anybody who is not patriotic, does not belong to loyal opposition and fails to uphold the constitution should have no business in staying in this country. They can go back where they came from. If any body coming to this country does not abide by US laws, they have no business here. --JPR
And finally you are tearing down the fabric of the very ideas and values that have made thiscountry what it is today.
JPR's note: Yes, there is too much freedom here. And I count India in that too. Freedom is only for those who have respect for other people's freedom and their interests. Once that freedom is infringed, the perpetrator looses his freedom. In order to preserve that freedom, the prospective intruder should be identified and dealt with. --JPR
Over reaction to bombing? and that fact that your son 'barely escaped' with his life? If so, I understand.
JPR's note: Over reaction, NOT so. US and the world are facing a new kind of threat, in which freedom and democracy built over centuries are in serious jeopardy, and the enemy is unnamed, unidentifiable, elusive and only a handful in number. They have nothing to loose and are not afraid of loosing life, because they have been indoctrinated and guaranteed that nubile virgins will receive them in heaven.
When you consider the threat in the nature of contamination of water, air, environment, it will give you shivers. The smallpox virus can easily be introduced on a virgin population with devastating results. There are several other things that are considered as dangerous on a massive scale. - JPR |
