Alomex -- as per your own post: Message 16338367 I think the concern is that the economy was already slipping into recession and now it has another push in that direction. Some in the airline industry are projecting a fifty percent drop in air travel over the next 3 to 6 months. Most have cut their scheduled service by 20%. Continental says it will be Chapter 11 by the end of October (lobbying tactic and hard to evaluate). Tens of thousands of lay-offs seem to be coming in the airline industry. I keep in touch with people in New York who report that simple pleasures like movies and local eating-out are up. Everything else is down.
