One of the hallowed reassurances we get in this nuclear age is the lack of 'throw' capacity others have. They may have the bomb but not the missiles to deliver it to our shore.

As of 9/11/01, that reassurance has become meaningless. Any aircraft can potentially welcome an American city back to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
