"Disk Cleanup" as an option. Is that the same as "Drive Space?"

No...I am not familiar with Win95 Drivespace.

Open my computer or windows explorer and right-click your "C" drive or whatever your hard disk is named and choose properties. There should be a disk cleanup button there. Explore all the tabs and settings to eliminate waste.

On the programs you don't want to remove, if you don't use them get rid of them. If they were original installs and you haven't used them by now you probably never will.

If you scan a lot of pictures in .bmp form you're quickly going to run out of room. These files are very large and will fill up your computer in a hurry. You should try storing them on floppies or get a second hard drive.

Since you have Norton you should try running cleansweep/ fast and safe cleanup on a regular basis. I run mine every night and usually dump between 20 and 50 mgs of junk. Under cleansweep/advanced you can run duplicate file finder and probably dump quite a few redundant files. Make sure safety sweep is turned on and only delete things marked in green and follow the recommended backup procedures so you can restore them if need be. Also under cleensweep / programs is an archive program that you can use to zip those unused programs instead of removing them. You can also save a little space by using the internet section there to clean up unwanted cookies

Could even be time to get a new machine. They are so cheap now that you can probably get ten times the machine you have now for not too much dinero. <gg>
