Mind-reading is not my specialty, so I have to rely on what you write in the context of the discussion:
The Taleban leaders are doubtless very worried. Let's not pretend, though, that killing the Taleban leaders, or getting rid of the Taleban altogether, is going to eliminate terrorism. Weaponry, of course, must be used. My preferred weapon in this conflict is a nondescript, untraceable, short-barreled revolver of modest caliber. My preferred deployment is in the hands of an unmemorable looking individual, who walks up behind an identified target on a busy street places the chosen weapon one inch from the back of the target's head, fires one shot, drops the gun, and fades back into the crowd.
A few hundred such deployments will do more to stop terrorism than all the cruise missiles in our arsenal.
Nothing you wrote until message #27824 on this thread would lead any reasonable person to believe that you were talking about assassins hired by some private person or organization. Given your numerous prior posts, this subsequent attempt to rewrite your own history is highly entertaining. Almost as funny as your earlier suggestion: We should make a grand show of submission. Loudly pressure Israel to withdraw. Pull high-profile units back from the middle east. Pretend bafflement. Make them think that they are safe, even if it drives our own citizens nuts.
Save your patronizing tone for someone intimidated by your self-aggrandizing claim of expertise. |
