One thing about the WTC and other terrorist acts which bemuses me is the constant refrain that the attacks were by faceless cowards. They are not faceless and they are not cowards. They took on the USA with box-cutters! Osama bin Laden goes on tv to inform the USA that he is going to attack them and that he is calling on all Islamics to do the same. He is as recognizable as anyone on earth! He is not faceless. He is not a coward. Those who actually carried out the box-cutter attack on the USA are also not nameless, faceless cowards. They left a trail a mile wide and some even used their own names! They actually think of the USA as the cowards who ran for it when the Jihad henchmen attacked American soliders in Beirut and Somalia. It's important to think accurately about what's going on. This isn't Oprah Winfrey's book club or the Jerry Springer show. They are not mad. They are not cowards. They and George Bush both call on supernatural beings. It's about power. Saddam Hussein has enjoyed power for decades and is continuing to do it right now. He must be as happy as a sand boy. The conflict which these Moslem Jihad people bring to the world is worse than that from communism. The communists had a belief in a false economic concept and the wish [like all politicians, including the USA, Taleban, Euro and Chinese rulers] for power. Religious maniacs want power too, but don't feel the need to dignify it with any concept of material well-being, which socialists [like Governor Davis and the flakey Californians with their electricity] try to achieve, though they fail. Moslems will take over the world if they can. Just as communists tried to. Just as Christians tried to. Just as capitalism and freedom is trying to. Unfortunately, freedom is not quite as extensive in the freedom-loving west as people pretend. Though it's a lot better than what's found in most places. Meanwhile, Nikkei down to 9500.
