The new economy and our "education and training".
During the 1970s, high school education in the united states was improved with new math ( thinking along algebra way instead of recital of multiplication table) and added nuclear theories to chemistry and physics. This devastated all the students because of the deviated branching in their brains. Formal education was by trial and error developed to train people to establish branching in neighboring neurons to branch efficiently, so that it takes less time to make a decision. Multiplication table establishes a consciousness to handle math. Logic and reason of algebra, requires thinking and suspicion which slows down the brain. And the nuclear theories did not add to molecular theories but confuses the learner of the building blocks. After all, is not quantum physics taught last, and not at the beginning of education?
These, lack of understanding of how the brain is structured, inventors of new math and proponents of nuclear theories ruined education in our high schools. Students dropped out. Plus the era of birth pills, create zero population growth. Today, the high school sizes were halfed. And colleges are full of foreign students. United states have to rebuild education courses to get students to qualify for higher education to meet our quotas of scientists, engineers, doctors, and lawyers.
Having said that, the standards of teaching material at the colleges also has to go back to formal education standards. The event of computer improvements forced many theories to subject to computer dominance. The classic theories ( the laws of nature )still have to be taught to build a good foundation of knowledge base; before studying computer science. The government education department has to approve the credentials of all the teaching materials.
This computer age, has not eliminated the Newtonian law, the periodic table of elements, the Compton law of collision of quantum particles, and the entropy and enthalpy of thermal dynamics. We have much to do to train our students by formal education which requires prerequisites of information learned before they can be taught more advanced material.
