Why can't a system that would prevent hijack of commercial jets be installed such as a GPS/Ground controll emergency flight controller.The flight controller would automatically go into action when a signal is sent from the plane by the pilot that it is being threatened by hijackers.The ground contoller team would then demand that the correct code be inputed to identify the correct pilot.If the identification is not satisfied then the ground control crew could bring lock out the controll of the plane and take over contol from the ground guideing the plane to a safe landing at the nearest airport.The technology is there for the pilotless drone airplane called the predator recently being used to overfly Irac.The GPS system ground controll would effectively make it imposible for a comercial airliner to be commadired by unauthorized pilot terrorist.
