Dave: Regarding where this stock will open on Monday, discussions like these are merely guesswork. Anything can happen. I'll go with your scenario minus 1 point. I think that the company should come out with a press release, but probably will not.
Could you answer a question or two:

#1... I noticed that the company in the last 3 out of 4 press releases has thrown the following sentence in verbatim:
"Mr. St. Laurent pointed out that analysts are expecting the Company to grow 50% in 1997."
I think that it is curious that they have to quote "analysts" in their press releases. I assume that they are talking about net. If they are talking about sales then mission accomplished with the recent acquisition. Now if they are talking about net as most companies do when referring to Wall Street estimates, they earned .94/sh last year.
This would imply that two or more analysts on Wall Street are expecting 1.41/sh. Do you know of any estimate at this level? I only know of one estimate at 1.12 and that's down from 1.20 estimated three months ago.

#2... I assume that Dell, Gateway, Compaq, et al are in Brazil. If not, why not? If so, how does Vitech compete on price?

#3... I noticed that it was only in the last few months that Vitech signed OEM deals with Microsoft and Intel. What were they doing (or selling) prior to this?

Thanks. Good luck on your position.
