Actually, a 21meg WIN386.SWP sounds normal. This file can easily grow into 100meg or more.

Another hint...

Sometimes Windows does a poor job of clearing out the temporary internet files. To really get the job done thoroughly, cold boot to DOS, and delete them manually with DELTREE. Be sure to remove the hidden files too. DIR /AH will locate hidden files. ATTRIB -H will un-hide them. (You need to un-hide before delete)
