Could I have some points of view on the meaning of Friday's heavy action? I understand that MMs were paying 15.31, since they can be pretty sure of selling at 15.50. The small spread is compensated by the absolute security, so it makes sense. There was also some trading at 15.50, which I can only interpret to mean that there are people who believe there will be other bids, while risking only a commission if there are none. Can there be any other explanation for those prices? If not, is it of interest to us to find out which transaction constituted the bulk of the volume?
