Susie --

I don't think she was bashing shorting ... we are talking just one day here ... one little day to show some solidarity. I hate getting political and rarely post (although I used to be a more frequent poster before I lost most of my portfolio), but this is one day I had personally hoped to see America united. I was at a party last night and was surprised to see how many people actually believed the market would be up or stable today and they all said they were going to buy 100 shares of something - anything - long just for patriotism. My feeling is I hoped they bought something they liked for the long term. I don't think anyone should necessarily spend money that they can't afford .. but I do think people could abstain from shorting for one day. I could not find one person out of more than 50 that believed anyone would short today.

Just goes to show how many people really only see the "good" and not the "greed" in people. I am sure Susan was thinking as I do, one day is not a lot to ask to show a "united" states of America.

To each their own ...
