No one will disagree with you that there is terrible evil in this world. There are evil people in this world that are fanatical and beyond reason. That is not hard to understand.

Where I disagree with you is this: There is evil in all of us to some degree, but not to the extent that you describe. The kind of evil that you discribe can only be achieved by a few who manipulate others to achieve horrific consequences.

I have faith there is no more than a few hundred on this planet of billions who are capable of these actions. I worry that these few hundreds will manipulated our feelings to hate each other on a mass scale and act out our feelings.

They make us fear each other and hate each other and in order to make ourselves feel better, we will allow others to commit smaller evil to redress true evil. That is not the solution.
