Hi TA: Warren Buffett has denied the comments that were attributed to him, about a 7-year recession or whatever.

However, it has to be kept in mind that in 1999, in an interview to "Fortune" magazine (which was mailed out to all shareholders along with the 1999 annual report), Buffett said that he expects the markets to return 6% to 7% in the next 17 years (comparing it with the 17 year period from 1982-99). And when asked about the likelihood that it could be higher than the 6% to 7% range, he replied that it is just as likely to be higher, as it could be lower.
