Issues to ponder:
1. Israel has been fighting terrorism for 30 years. They have not been successful, at least not as successful as they would like and not as successful as we think we can be. What makes us think we can do better? 2. Russia lost 50,000 men in Afghanistan. What does Bush have in mind? 3. Can't bomb Afghanistan back to the stone age, they're already in the stone age. 4. Hundreds, if not thousands, of schools exist in the Moslem world that teach children to hate Israel, Jews, the United States and all that we cherish. 5. Bin Laden and his ilk want holy war. Bush may be playing right into their hands. Terrorism is guerilla warfare on a global scale that we were not able to overcome in Vietnam. Cells of terrorists are timebombs waiting for their opportunity to spread death, destruction, chaos and fear in 60 countries.
Meanwhile, my colleague, a physician from India, has children who are being harrassed in school. Is this what we are going to stand for now? |
